Our Vision

As a professional service provider, our vision is to build a long-term sustainable business that fosters relationships with our clients that help them to achieve their own personal financial goals and objectives.

 

Our History
 

Spinifex Private Wealth was founded by Dietmar Birkmann.

He has been a Financial Adviser all of his professional career of some 28 years.
 

He is a Certified Financial Planner and was one of the youngest to be appointed as such in 1999.

He continues to be a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).

He started and built his own practice in 1994, before taking on roles as a Senior Financial Adviser in a number of high-profile organisations, including Mercer and nearly 8 years with St George Private Bank.  This last role in particular, provided a useful and enjoyable environment in which to look after the financial needs of higher-net-worth individuals and families.  Many of whom continue to be amongst our valued clients.
 

After much consideration, it was decided in March 2015, to leave the confines of a large Bank and return to private practice, in order to provide clients with a greater level of independence, more choice of products, services and solutions and renewed focus upon our clients.
 

A decision that has proven itself to be the right one.

On a more personal note….

I have grown to love this country to which our parents decided to move us in 1984.    I particularly love its natural beauty.  Hence the choice of Australia’s iconic tall “Spinifex” grass of the outback to brand our business.
 

I’m pleased to also showcase some of this natural wonder in the below gallery of photos.  My gratitude to Peter one of our long-standing clients and avid traveller of our broad country for allowing us to showcase many of his photos.  Plus a few from my own occasional weekend excursions.  We hope you enjoy them.  Should they inspire any of you to go out there and see our beautiful country, then all the better…
